I wanted to ask all my local readers for some help. We all know that times are tough right now and our food banks are being stretched to their limit. More people than ever are in need of food and we can help!
My children are participating in a non-perishable food drive at their school and I would love to be able to just load them down with food every day! So if you are local and willing to donate please let me know and I can arrange to pick things up from you at your convenience.
Monetary donations are welcome as well and I will use any funds I receive to purchase non-perishable food items to donate.
If you can help in any way, please let me know in the comments, or by sending me an e-mail at imaybecheapblog@gmail.com.
Thank you so much for anything you can contribute. The drive ends November 20th.

I saw this very cool Firefox add-on the other day and thought I would share it. It’s called Read It Later and it allows you to mark websites that you would like to read, but don’t necessarily want to bookmark and displays them in a page for you. I haven’t tried it yet, but I can’t wait to see how it works.

Recently I was reading a magazine that had a few ideas for some “green” gifts.
The water/lemon juice powered clock seems really cool and a pretty good bargain at $16!
These gift bags probably wouldn’t be considered a bargain as they are a bit pricey, but I suppose they are a bargain for the environment and they are pretty neat too! Visit Giveagreenbag.com to check them out!

For all of you vampire fans out there this is supposed to be the series to read! (I can’t personally say that I know, since this isn’t my type of book). I have some friends who love these! Apparently they are for more mature audiences than the Twilight series. This set is currently $36.97!

This post is for anyone currently on the coupon train or anyone who would like to join it!
My attempts at getting this train moving have failed miserably. I thought I fixed the problem by eliminating a person where it seemed to be getting stuck. I tried contacting this person several times but the e-mail always bounced back. But, since removing that stop on the train it still isn’t going smoothly.
But, there is still interest and I want to try again. So here’s the deal. If you are interested in participating I want to hear from you. The way this will work is I will create one or more trains based on the number of responses I get. I will send out an envelope to the first person on the train and I will send them an e-mail with only the contact information of the person they are to send it to next.
When you get the envelope try to go through it as soon as you can due to the fact that if it doesn’t move quickly the person at the end may get a ton of expired coupons. Feel free to leave expired coupons in the envelope because when I get it back I will remove them and send them to someone who can use expired coupons at her stores.
This needs to be something that you really want to do. It is also usually a large envelope so if you don’t want to pay the postage don’t participate.
I want to thank those of you who have been doing your part already. I know it’s a busy time of year and we all get bogged down.
There is one more thing I need from current participants who want to remain. Due to a huge computer upgrade malfunction my laptop is a giant paperweight. I thought I backed up everything important, but I do not have the coupon train list anymore. So if you were on it and want to remain, I need you to send me your address again. I apologize for the inconvenience.

“Please join us for this family event – you’ll enjoy it as much as your kids do! Trunk or Treat will be held from 3:00-5:00 p.m. on the church parking lot.” Ok, I admit it, I had no idea WHAT a trunk or treat was but this website cleared it up. http://trunkortreat.homestead.com/ As you can see from the pictures below (some of the pics are actual pics from this church) they decorate their trunks and the kids trick or treat out of the trunk. Looks fun.
NOTE: THIS EVENT IS BEING HELD AT TWO DIFFERENT CHURCHES AT THE SAME TIME SO IT’S UP TO YOU WHICH YOU CHOOSE TO ATTEND. I’d go with the one closer to where you live though the Nazarene one does look more organized.

I received this e-mail today from the woman in charge of the Angel Food program at Mercy House.
Dear Customers,
Some of you may already know this, however if you did not order this month, we would like to let everyone know that effective October 17, 2009 Mercy House will no longer be offering Angel Food Ministries. Mercy House can no longer sustain our role in Angel Food due to the recent loss of our distribution space. We have been unable to locate adequate space to continue the program. Additionally, the amount of work that Angel Food has grown to is beyond the 6 female staff to handle. Since we are not a church host site with a congregation, it has left us to find volunteers to run our distribution. We have added new programs and fundraisers to our agency and the additional time required by Angel Food is too much for us. This has come after extensive review of our programs and some very tough decision making. We feel as though we have fulfilled our mission to bring Angel Food to Harrisonburg and the surrounding areas and are very proud of what Angel Food has become in the Shenandoah Valley. We thank you for you patronage over the past 1 ½ years. You have been instrumental in the goal of bringing this program to your community.
To continue ordering, you can contact any of the host sites listed below who would be happy to have you as a customer!
