Woot is a site that generally only has one item for sale per day. Today however, is a Woot off!! This means new items throughout the day including the possibility of the infamous bag of crap.

Renee alerted me to this site that will help you track what is up without having to constantly refresh.

I almost got a Bag of Crap once, but in my excitement, mis-typed my credit card verification code, and lost my place in the queue and didn’t get it! So close…
The site basically shuts down when one comes on – you can get all the way through checkout and not know for an hour whether or not you got one! Crazy, but fun
Also, it’s kind of a gamble on the items – sometimes you can go off to look up prices and ratings and come back only to have missed an awesome deal. Sometimes, you can rush to buy something only to find out later it got horrible ratings on Amazon. It’s kind of a toss-up – I just keep an eye out for things I was planning to buy anyway!
I got a so-so rated pair of noise-cancelling headphones earlier today for $17.99, which is a great price for those type of headphones, and something I was looking for already anyway. For that price, I don’t care if they’re the best out there
Another note about wooters.us – keep in mind that the time remaining is approximate and is calculated based on the estimated number of items available and how fast people are buying them.
OK, enough babbling about Woot-offs today
Time to get back to work (with Woot refreshing in the background)!
