eBay Deal

by Emmy on June 21, 2009

If you’ve used eBay recently you know that they raised their fees and drove away a lot of people. Well, now you have the option of listing five items with no insertion fee each month! In addition to this they are having a free subtitle sale so now might be the time to get rid of some things laying around your house!

On that note, a regular reader of this blog has some pretty awesome listing up right now and I wanted to share them with you and hopefully help her out in the process.

You forgot to mention that items that sell for over 25.00 will pay MORE in FVFs if they use this “free” listing. I, myself, will list 5 items that I know will sell for under 25.00 and then go on with the rest of my items. The 5 “free” listings are mandatory – they will be the first five items you list EVERY month – you cannot opt out and can only bypass them by using a third party to list your items. Please, tell the WHOLE story because sellers will just blindly list without knowing the facts and they could be hurt by it by paying higher FVFs.

I’m sorry. I wasn’t trying to leave anything out, I wasn’t aware of those other terms. I knew the final value fees were high, I just didn’t realize they were higher with this type of listing. Again, my apologies.

Patricia, the fee schedule says “These $0.00 Insertion Fee listings also have a Final Value Fee per listing of 8.75% or $20, whichever is lower. ”

What higher Final Value Fees do you mean?
