On Thursday July the 30th from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm there will be a fundraiser for the Harrisonburg Parks and Rec Community Activities Center. 100% of a $5 donation will be donated to the center and it will also get you a burrito, chips & salsa, and a soda. Chipotle is located in the Forbes Crossing shopping center.
Please consider going out and supporting this great cause. The center provides a ton of great low cost, or free activities to the community and is a place for the local youth to go after school and in the summer.
From what I understand this will be a trial run of sorts for the staff at Chipotle before their official opening.

I can’t go tomorrow night, so I’m headed out tonight to support the Harrisonburg Farmer’s Market!
Got there a little before five. My mother and I both got a salad, chips & salsa, and a drink for a total of $10. Food was really good in my opinion. I was a little put off by the way one of the managers (I guess) treated one of the employees when she did something wrong, but overall the experience was good. The line remained out the door and down the walk the whole time we were there.
One employee was passing out organic seed packets and told us that 35% of their beans are organic. She said they are working on suppliers for more organic items.
They don’t have a children’s menu, but they did have small menus with suggestions of things that they would be willing to make for children. I was pretty impressed with that.
Overall I think they did a great job, it was nice to know that all the money was going to a good cause, and I will eat there again!
